Would you really want your possible career change jeopardized by something that can wait 21 days? Do you want an infected tat? Ruined tat? You cant take care of it out there, or keep it clean.

Just wait. You dont get to skip Nasty Nick because your shoulder has fresh ink.

Cadre will likely see it and let you go through the whole course just to be a 19 day nonselect for "stupidity"

What part of common sense says create an infection opportunity just prior to placing yourself in a less clean, high stress, poor nutrition environment?

I dont have tats, but I've watched my sons and many SM care for them right after being done.. something your not going to be able to do in selection. Why spend the money, time and effort on ink if your not going to be able to give it the critical aftercare.

Lastly, whats the rush? What is the requirement (in your mind) to get a new tat right before selection?
