Well, since they're are from the same person (Admiral Mullins, former CJCS), I'll use two.

The first sums up a lot of why I stayed for so long, "One of the reasons that I'm still in the military - or I stayed in the military - is because I think the military has been a place where certainly people could improve, advance, and were treated fairly."

The second talks to what my main focus has been for the majority of my career, ""The single biggest existential threat that's out there, I think, is cyber"

SSG Pete Fleming OK, that is a great quote, and I think it sums up a lot of careers.

But considering, for some reason, I always have to figure things out for myself and then teach someone else how its done....I think Dr. Suess sums it up nicely for me: "You have a brain in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go." :-)

I would never ask one of my troops to do Anything that I wasn't willing to get down and do it with them or at least get it started, so they would see me doing it the right way.
