I don't know about security clearance but the guards do have to pass the Personnel Reliability Program which is every bit as strenuous as an SBI. No security job is going to require a TS and as I understand, your current job doesn't require handling of CBRN materials.

You could be an MP and that's probably the closest to your current job. Another choice is CID, which is law enforcement and does require a TS, so you could put your clearance to work for you. But honestly you'll probably have more opportunities for schools and promotions in the PANG if you enlist as an 11B since they have an Infantry Division there. It's not the most glorious mo's (be ready to be in operations hell if you're not in a CBRN element) but it covers a wide area with many different skillsets, and can be very rewarding when you actually get to do your job. After my 3 years of active Army, I did 3 years in the PANG. Got frustrated because I was not working in my MOS and got out. If I had stayed in for 14 more years, doing a weekend a month and 2 weeks in the summer, I would have a pension shortly having just turned 62. One of a few life regrets I had, like not staying in the Army for 17 more years, and then been drawing retirement pay the past 24 years since I went in at 17. Hope you find something that works, but even if its not an exact fit, its worth it. I was a security contractor for Duke Energy at a power plant. A lot of military just don't translate. Especially one like years. You would be better off staying infantry.
