What kinds of certification or education is required for civilian quality assurance specialist (Ammunition)?

Go to safety.army.mil and look up the online training area. I tried to find it myself, but couldn't find the exact location. There are certifications that work for both military and civilian. Look up Ammo handling, Ammo Safety, Explosives Safety... I would also recommend finding the Ammo Warrant Officers on RP and hit them up for advise.

You might want to look for some of these. They may just provide some additional training that can give you a leg up. (These are just the easy ones I found through Navy COOL)
State Licensure
•Explosives Workers, Ordnance Handling Experts, and Blasters
•Hazardous Materials Removal Workers
Apprenticeship
•Ordnance Artificer (Government Service)

Defense Ammunition Center McAlester OK hires interns for the Civilian QASAS career. A degree is helpful since they were currently only accepting college level applicants. Check out the DAC web site.
