What kind of timeframe am I looking at for a Request to Physical? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-kind-of-timeframe-am-i-looking-at-for-a-request-to-physical <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hello. My question about the recruiting process. I seek a commission into the Army Reserve as a 66S. My recruiter and I have submitted a Request to Physical. It was forwarded from the CMO at MEPS to the Office of the Surgeon General. This was about 4 months ago. I wanted to know if this workflow was positive? Also what kind of timeframe am I looking at. Anything else would be helpful. Thanks in advance. Are you MSN now or going for it? I realize you want Army, however, look also, if you care to, at USPHS Commissioned Corps, I don&#39;t know about critical care, however, the svcs have an exchange agreement with USPHS for psych-qualified 3 yr tours with Army, Navy, or USAF, as I said it might not be for you, I merely suggest glancing at it, nothing more, of course...also, have you had much OR time? Have you looked at something called Certified First Assist (CFA), which can be linked to nursing as an RN-FA, to pet you do surgical closures on your own, I think not necessarily needing an NP, I could he wronhg about that also, I just thought you might find it of interest, also, look at advanced trauma life support (ATLS) training, out probably already know of it, however I just thought to mention that also, USUHS also has an online certificate grad program in preventive med, I gather it&#39;s pretty backlogged now, however, try also have PhD programs for both civilian, as well as active duty, in infectious disease, mol and cell bio, and neuroscience, if those might interest you, look also at AFIT, the USAF grad school, and also Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), I&#39;d seen healthcare suste!s level coursework under NPS, I don&#39;t know if AFIT has any...if you&#39;d care to chat further, I&#39;d be most eager to hear more, whenever convenient.... <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="http://www.usphs.edu/gsn">gsn</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description"></p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Capt Daniel Goodman Thu, 13 Dec 2018 20:24:50 -0500 2018-12-13T20:24:50-05:00 Response by SFC(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 14 at 2018 6:44 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-kind-of-timeframe-am-i-looking-at-for-a-request-to-physical?n=4206901&urlhash=4206901 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>MEPS sometimes work differently based on location. But at least in Indianapolis once we request to physical to MEPS they&#39;re pretty good at scheduling within a few weeks depending on their work load. So I dont understand what&#39;s taking so long. Most of the time the paperwork is just waiting for someone’s signature. Continue to follow up with your recruiter. I would assume it is a positive workflow since your request has not been denied - just hang in there. I’m still waiting as well, but now for assignment orders CPT Private RallyPoint Member Sat, 15 Dec 2018 09:23:37 -0500 2018-12-15T09:23:37-05:00 2018-12-13T19:59:41-05:00
