Best change ever. Smoother shave and my skin thanks me. There were a few days early on where it looked like I'd been in a knife fight, but you re-learn how to shave pretty quickly.<div><br></div><div>I will occasionally use an electric razor - either when I am tired (knife fight syndrome), simply forgot to shave and grab my backup razor at work, or am traveling. I use a Jagger with Gillette Super Blue blades. Even though they are some of the most expensive blades out there, they only cost me about $0.50 a blade. Even with just one pass, I get a closer shave than I did with a brand new Quatro. I tried the Fusion Power, and thought maybe there was a difference (couldn't really tell) but the vibration constantly made my arm tired while shaving, so I'm back to non-powered.</div><div><br></div><div>The key difference for me is shaving in the shower. The warm water and steam keeps my face soft and pliable, which results in a closer more comfortable shave. When I shave at the sink, I notice the shaving cream dries up on my face, and shaving hurts more (razor burn). For the field I have a cheap Braun M60B electric. I have a 1700 shadow at 1000, so I can't ever get away with not shaving, even in the field. Since dry shaving or shaving with cold water sucks on a level not known to many civilians, I use the electric strictly for field use. Took a bit of time to get used to however wasn't that bad. Also use a good shaving soap or cream not the canned crap you get at Wal-Mart. I started using Proraso shave cream (come in a tube) and a badger hair brush. Additionally I use the Proraso aftershave. Haven't had an irritated face after shaving since I started using quality products.
