What kind of experiences have people had with American Military University?

I’ve had a pretty good one so far. I’m enrolled in both their National Security and Space Studies masters programs, and the staff there is incredibly helpful and responsive, and classes aren’t that expensive. No bad experiences with them at all.

I know 20+ people personally who have taken classes with American Military University‎ and they have all had great things to say about it. They all had good experiences and have recommended it to others in their units, etc.

I chose to attend AMU when I realized I needed formal educational experience to add to my resume for emergency management. Getting used to the online format was a bit of a learning curve at first but it worked very well for me since I was employed full time. The biggest challenge was the vast amount of research and writing I had to do, but this was also probably the most rewarding aspect of my AMU experience. The professors were all recognized experts in their fields and most still serving in active roles at all levels of public service. I am currently pursuing another online masters degree with the Bush School of Public Service at Texas A&M and AMU did an awesome job of preparing me for this new challenge. I highly recommend AMU to anyone seeking to pursue their educational career.

Got my B.S In Disaster and Emergency Management. Very patient and understanding. I had my internet go out during a test and they allowed me to retake it once I got it back on track.
