I do not believe he said this the way it sounds. The reason he mentioned Carson...meaning he is the "real" one to be able to repair the divide that has happened in the past 8 yrs.
And it's NEWS! When has the news been reprimanded for anything?...except for Brian Williams and his blatant lies.

People will knee jerk along their bias lines. I'm not spun either way. Interesting thing is I've observed an undercurrent going on over a question that hasn't been vetted probably because all the discussion would be knee jerk, hence useless. That question would be "Would President Obama's tenure help, hurt, or be neutral in regards to subsequent African American presidential candidates?" I'm in the neutral camp because I look at the individual and the crowd he/she would bring in, what they could do for the country, etc. But I'd suspect it would be fairly polarized in some demographics.

I am so sick of the liberal love affair just because people say something. If views are racist I have no sympathy for those who make those comments. Imus comes to mind. I took offense at calling those young college girls. 'nappy headed hos'. I hate misogny in any form. Now as far this, stop deflecting criticism as nothing more than it is. I read this last night and I felt that he has a right. Is he right? I will just say "no comment".

I'm not going to speculate what he meant in actuality or what he "actually" meant. I would like some clarification in what he meant by "A REAL Black President". What is "real"? And what would he hope to have A president do? I don't subscribe to the scuttlebutt that say's Obama divided the country any more than Bush did. I do subscribe to the fact that technology and it's "viral" abilities have. The internets ability for instant and in many cases non factual news has made this country some of what it's become. We don't have to talk it out anymore in person. Just make a profile, hide behind it and say what you want. Interpersonal skills be damned.

I'm sorry, but SPC Andrew Griffin that photo makes it look like he is about to perform a Nazi salute. He is a crazy little man. He is so right wing that the republicans are not conservative enough for his ideals. Real consequences? None. SPC Andrew Griffin, I’m not sure I even understand what the tweet means. Is he saying it would be great to have Dr. Carson as president because he’s real or is he saying that neither he nor Pres. Obama are real? What does much else, mean? I'm confused. It doesn't pass the smell test, though. What does color have to do with his ability, anyway?

He is an old rich man who will say what he wants and not worry too much about the consequences.
That being said, he is pretty accurate. And not to be nitpicking but President Obama is half black and half white so in a very true and accurate sense he is not black, he is mixed.
I am not sure though that Ben Carson will be much better than President Obama when it comes to race issues. Most white people will be skeptical if he "takes their side" on an issue and most black people will get pissed when he doesn't "take their side" on an issue.
I think that President Obama has done a lot to keep the racial divide from closing just based on what I see and hear him doing when it comes to racial issues.
Point in case, Trayvon Martin, no need for the President to get involved so quickly and personally by making the statement "if I only had a son". That statement made many people think it was a racially motivated crime and instead of focusing on the ignorance and disregard of the law by George ZImmerman the whole case tried to make it racially motivated and that's why the case was lost. Even then the White House quickly ranted about Federal hate crime investigation.
Michael Brown, another tragic death further antagonized by the immediate issuance by the White House of a Federal investigation for a hate crime against Officer Wilson, who by the way was never charged, so the focus went on to the Ferguson Police Department as a witch hunt.
The White House sending representatives to the funerals for Michael Brown but not for the 2 police officers assassinated in NYC, those officers were Asian and Hispanic.
Will Ben Carson be any different or better? We do not know but many will have their minds made up and will feel justified in their thinking by whatever decision is made.

Since I don't really know the man other than the public information posted about him I don't think people can really know exactly what he meant by the comment. He may have meant it as a great compliment since Ben Carson rose up from very humble beginnings to become the world's top neurosurgeon and happened to be a black man. Being black and poor isn't a disease unless the specific individual makes their self a plague upon society which is the same for any demographic within our nation. If you're a poor white kid that grows up to be a disaster you're just as bad.
I see Ben Carson as an honest individual that has great talent in what he did as a doctor and also has great potential for many other things. He always seems to have a calm, respectful demeanor and he's definitely a very intelligent person. Saying he's a "real" black man doesn't infer anything other than he's actually a black man born of two black parents rather than somebody that was born as a mixed race. It just depends on how you read into it. Ben Carson has stated himself that Obama has divided the nation very deeply. Those are Carson's words so if Murdoch echoes those words that doesn't make him a racist or even close. If it does then that would make Carson a racist for making the same statement. People read way too much into stuff. I don't see people condemning Margaret Sanger from the left side of the aisle and she was a KNOWN racist. There was no doubt about what she was because she openly stated her feelings towards blacks and other minorities yet, the left celebrates the eugenics/abortion racist. Why?
