Le sigh... I'd love for people to quit regulating women. We are guaranteed privacy and bodily autonomy, even after death, but women aren't afforded the same courtesy. The Hyde Amendment isn't about money or principle, it is just a manifestation of a patriarchal society trying to deprive women of their right to reproductive autonomy. As a pragmatist, there are ways to decrease the need for abortion: education and birth control, neither of which are supported as a solution. Instead, Republican legislators don't care about a real solution, they would rather gamble with the lives of women than allocate the money to education and healthcare. Until we can trust women to make their own decisions by even allowing them to make them, we can't have any conversation about abortion. Give women the legislative power and see how it would change.

If you don't trust a doctor's Hippocratic oath? Don't use doctors. And last I checked there is a fourth amendment and I read the constitution and don't remember the word abortion appearing anywhere in there so unless someone invited me into their doctors office with them until I actually have evidence of any actual illegal activity I think I should mind my own fucking business. I personally wouldn't kill babies.
