I'm blasphemous and verbose, I know, but...

Handgun: HK 45 USP ('cuz shooting twice is just silly)
SAR: Tavor 5.56 SAR ('cuz it beats the M4 in every test I've seen)
Full Auto: HK G36 ('cuz ... for reasons not specified)
Rifle: Desert Tactical Arms SRS .338 Lapua ('cuz it's the firearm of choice for a long shooter friend of mine in LLEA)

While I like the black rifle, I'm an old school wood and steel man. My favorite all time small arms weapon is the one I earned the Washington state 1,000 open sight shooting title with. My Remington 700 BDL Custom Deluxe in .308 It was a tack driver in the 1970's and it's a tack driver today. While it may not have the rate of fire of modern weapons, I can hit and kill with that weapon consistently out to 1,000 yards, (well maybe not now). I'm 60 and my eyes are not what they use to be, but back in the 70's, 80's and 90's it took everything from coyotes to Colorado Elk.

My favorite pistol is the 1911 in .45 ACP. I've shot the .45 my entire life and I have 10-1911 45's. My Wilson has been replaced as my favorite by my new daily carry pistol the Kimber - Master Carry - Ultra.

If it was going to be a safe queen it would be the Kimber...Man those things are pretty. Every day use I can't see anything better in my eyes than a H&K .45 subcompact!! long range shooting Remington 700 FTW!

This will probably be considered an odd choice, but I'd go with a P90. Sexy, compact, packs a punch, and even though I'm not a lefty I think it's cool that it's ambidextrous. I may or may not be a huge Stargate SG-1 fan too which might be influencing my tastes.

Pistol I have to go with a battle proven champ 1911 .45ACP
SRR I likewise will go with an experienced performer M16 A2
LRR I like the 700 in .308/7.62
Full auto GIMME a M240 SAW
Crew served M2 .50 cal BABY ! ! ! !

Right before I PCSed from Fort Drum, the firearms counter at the PX got in a M-4 chambered in .450 and I fell in love. Had I $2000 to spend at that time, it would have come home with me.

So what do I actually own (because money IS an object)?

A 1911, 35 years old, that I can shoot quarters with at 20 feet, but getting a bit worn out, not as reliable after the second magazine, not a true 1911, so hard to find parts for.

A 1911, shorter barrel... not as dialed in as the one above, but close enough to get the job done, and very reliable... easier to carry, easier to get parts for.

A 1911, chambered for .22LR, because practice is important and .45 is expensive.

A AR-15 bushmaster, because I can take it apart blindfolded, and shoot dimes at 50yards... oh and a .22LR adapter for it (because again, .223 is expensive, and practice is important).

Various other crap that is up for trade, sale, etc.

Still looking for a good 12 gauge to round out the "I only need three good guns" collection.

I keep mine in financial reach because as much as privates think they make bank we don't.
Sidearm would be a sig p 226 or beretta from what I've seen from them their hardy and reliable.
Rifles would be a custom ar series, might not be exotic since I'd be using the same type of rifle at both qualifications and personal range time but it's a good system runs smooth and reliable given you treat it with respect. Over 50 years old in service and we are still employing the same standard issue rifle, and for good reasons. Order or build one to be top of the line quality, a good optic, and good magazines there honestly isn't any other rifle that's as good or significantly better than the ar series

here two of my favorites both have been upgraded with a dual adjustable straight trigger m, Sigs SRT kits, Hogue grips. they are DA/SA no manual safeties just a decocking lever. chambered in .45, may get a Springfield 1911 in 45 but definitely I'm going to get the Springfield M1A

It may not be my "dream" weapon, but I want a SIG P365 to go with my SIG P320, and if it wasn't for that pesky $725 insurance bill I just had to pay, I would have a P365.
