What is your reaction to GEN David Petraeus pleading guilty?

perfect example of how a thousand "attaboys" is overshadowed by one "oh snap!"

and I hate that....society today certainly seems more focused on the one mistake, of anyone, than all the good they did..not sure why...

1SG(P) Private RallyPoint Member Thanks for posting. I understand you're not looking for any bashing here, and neither am I, but we should acknowledge that there is plenty Patraeus-bashing going on, much of it seemingly by those with first-hand experience. Here, I share a choice example:

My thing with this is.....how many people did he sign off receiving punishment for the same actions he was doing....how many of them lost their careers, livelihood, etc all because they were not a General or did not have a good publicist (and yes that was intended).

Anyway I'm glad he is stepping up and finally taking responsibility.
