We use Symphony for chat, and Jabber for audio and video.

I don't usually do video conferences but when I did (and it's very rare) I use Skype. Never really had issues with it and I still use the app for messaging.

For Video CHAT, I would use Skype. For Video Conferencing (more than one recipient at multiple addresses) I would suggest "Go to Meeting" or something like that.

There is a diff between chatting and conferencing.
