I'm with you, thank you for that post! Being 10 time zones away from my family since January drives me up the wall!! At this time I'd do anything and go anywhere just to see them sooner ;-)

Somewhere outside the boundary of Rhode Island with my family.

DC I could visit forever. Anywhere that relates to history or something outside the norm.

I'd love to take my family (I've been there twice) to Carlsbad Caverns NM - just awesome.

A perfect vacation for me is at my house. I don't need to go anywhere or do anything. I just like to relax with my family. That is my perfect for me.

A week of racing at Nurburgring, then spend a couple days off in between and see Germany

Until my wife passed away 2 /2 years, between the Military, we have traveled to just about any place you can thing; except Asia(for her). From Fairbanks to Ushuaia (Cape Horn); As far east as Istanbul and Moscow; North Africa; all over the Mediterranean and places in between. The Military offered me a chance to work at the American Embassy in Paris for 3 years (what more can you ask for). Oh, I forgot, all over the Caribbean. From Gibraltar to Scotland and again, all in between. Weve traveled by Bus, Car, Train, Ship and even walked a bit sometimes. When she got sick, we were heading for China and all the places around it. It was a great life and times.
