I just transferred from a unit that was pretty squared away as far as getting paperwork done outside of drill, clothing items, schools, and other administrative tasks. I got into a new unit and have some new active to reserve soldiers under me and am trying to do everything I can to keep them moving up the chain of command in search of answers. All you can do is keep moving up the chain. Email, wait 3 days, then email the next in line. Work your way up into battalion and further until you can get things sorted.Response by WO1 Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 20 at 2015 6:59 PM2015-08-20T18:59:31-04:002015-08-20T18:59:31-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member906861<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You can't fix what you don't know. If you go outside your chain of command it may mean that you need to work on your "core" relationship with TL's and SL's.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 20 at 2015 11:22 PM2015-08-20T23:22:24-04:002015-08-20T23:22:24-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member1020148<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Sending a DA Form 200, and a routing slip form for actions that are not a one-stop shop. Engage your FLL first before approaching the staff that handle your request. And follow-up, follow-up, follow-up. Don't give a suspense, but give a generous amount of time for the unit to handle your issue. Your issue is one of a hundred that the staff has to attend to. Offer suggestions and ask for additional information why your requests take longer than what they should be. Do not be afraid to volunteer to take on additional duty if it alleviates your unit's FTUS burden.<br /><br />The squeaky wheel gets the greese.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 6 at 2015 10:39 AM2015-10-06T10:39:30-04:002015-10-06T10:39:30-04:002015-08-20T13:30:49-04:00
