My first time driving into Georgia just south of Ft Benning headed to Ft Jackson SC for USEREC training this song came on and it was just past a witches tit after midnight! For me I think it just depends on the mood I’m in and where I’m at! Good times!

Some sort of rock usually! Southern rock is always good. Molly Hatchet and .38 Special are favorites. Any 80s hair band is great or Hair Nation or Ozzy's Boneyard on SiriusXM. 5 Finger Death Punch is good as well! Depends on whether I'm on the bike or in a cage. Alone or with a passenger matters as well.

When my kids were little, every road trip started with Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again." For me, must have road trip music is full of Classic Rock (70s/80s) and Bob Marley "Legend".

We're creatures of our youth so it'd be Classic Rock for me. Have a thumb drive with a lengthy mix which ranges from Lesley Gore doing "It's My Party" through Fleetwood Mac, Stray Cats, and Starship. And of course, the National Anthem of Vietnam, The Animals doing "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place". Funny how modern audio systems have the bass we never heard on the radio, especially from CSN and The Who.

I can't stick to any one genre for very long. Gotta keep things moving. So I'd go with old(er) country, the Eagles, 80's hair bands, Frank Sinatra, etc. Just depends on what mood I'm in.

I am very hard of hearing, nearly deaf in some frequency ranges, and so do not listen to much music on my road trips. in fact, I rely heavily on print media and visual correspondence to communicate. My hearing aids help in some circumstances , however, in high noise environments they tend to amplify the noise rather than what I am trying to hear. This is why I, and people like myself, prefer to communicate by email or in writing rather than by telephone.

To the usual classic rock staples I’d add Mahler’s first five symphonies and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Sherherazade.

If it was a US, Mexican and/or Canadian road trip then I’d be sure to load Dvorak’s Ninth Symphony “The New World”.
