What have you experienced or witnessed as the funniest basic training or AIT moment that you can remember from your past or if you were a leader involved at the time?

Watch it. The inclusion of "tampons" is implied sexual discrimination. LOL

Marching to the chow hall during AIT and finding another Soldier that went AWOL during basic training asleep, hiding inside a drainage ditch.

I heard a similar story that happened at Lackland.

In Basic, there are always 2 trainees on Entry Control (EC) Duty. One night the Superintendent came in at 0300 asking for accountability. The EC said, "Flight 5-oh-6 is all accounted for." The Superintendent said "I am pretty sure (oh) is a letter and zero is the number you were lookin for, but go ahead and prove me wrong. Count to (oh)" we all woke up trying not to laugh as he loudly counted from ZERO to some ridiculousy large number for an hour.

At least he didn't have to do pushups to the cadence of "O is a letter, Zero is a number!" as my little brother did in Navy boot camp in 1988. :)
