Schnitzel and Pomfretes(sp) with mushroom sauce in Germany. Wash it down with a hehevisen(sp) or crystalvisen(sp) or even a warm Guinness.

SCPO David Lockwood my personal favorite is wiener schnitzel, Pommes Frites with Rauchbier [smoked beer]in Bamberg, Germany.
2nd best would be a good spargel suppe [white asparagus cream soup] from Bavaria.
Since I was raised by British parents much of my food was foreign while I was growing up. My favorite British meal is a standing rib roast, roast potatoes, English peas in butter with individual Yorkshire puddings.
