I would say being stationed at the Pentagon as a Junior enlisted soldier yeah my right arm got a work out from saluting but the shear history made it for me. I'm from Louisiana, so it wasn't much of an adjustment. Savannah is a great city.

I enjoyed Pioneer Kaserne in Regensburg, GE. Regensburg was like living in the south, but in Germany. Bavaria is a wonderful place. Friendly people, low crime rate, LOTS of history.

Camp Dahn/Pirmasens, GE. Not so much. Too much French influence. The people were gruff, abrupt, and at times, RUDE. The only advantage was that we were close enough to do our shopping at Rammstein AB.

Fort Lost in the Woods, Misery, probably would have been okay if I had not been there for training. My only positive memories were of renting a moped on a weekend pass and riding out in the country.Response by SSG Stephen Arnold made Mar 14 at 2015 3:26 PM2015-03-14T15:26:49-04:002015-03-14T15:26:49-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member536829

Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command. That is by far my best duty station. Helping bring closure to families who have been waiting for there loved ones to be found for decades is a great feeling. Not to mention working woth local villagers in different countries and building a relationship of trust even though there is a language barrier is a pretty amazing thing not many people experience.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 18 at 2015 1:58 PM2015-03-18T13:58:32-04:002015-03-18T13:58:32-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member756835

I would have to say Vilseck Germany and Hawaii. I am a history buff so tk be able to see all the history Europe had to offer was one of my bucket kist being accomplished. It was also inexpensive to do as well which mmade it even bettet. Hawaii was because of the beach, co workers, weather and friendly work environment. It did get old being on an island for 3 years , but I never regret coming there. If I was rich I would have bought me a house or condo. I could actually see myself getting station back to those places and never be bored.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 18 at 2015 7:35 PM2015-06-18T19:35:24-04:002015-06-18T19:35:24-04:002015-02-09T13:30:38-05:00
