At that time I was at Fort Drum, NY with A/3-62 ADA. The CSM had all the NCOs to meet at the NCO club (Commons) to have lunch and present the CODE, which at the time I had to recite it. Sure it looks good on the wall of some little CSM somewhere who ensures that every regulation is followed to the letter and that his soldiers don't walk on the grass. However it is not a war fighter's creed. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL</a>, I'm sure the expectation here is to elicit a military creed, and my initial inclination was to do just that; perhaps the Special Forces creed. However, the creed that resonates most with me is that of Auburn University, my alma mater.
