What is your favorite cake?

At the moment, my favorite cake is marble cake. My favorite cake was actually lemon cake at one time. I still like lemon cake though. I've never actually made a cake before, but I have bought my fair share of cakes and other desserts from the local grocery store. This slice looks particularly delicious. I may need to drive to the store tomorrow and buy a cake! Cheers!

For me, it is the Atomic Cake!
3 layers of cake – yellow, banana and Chocolate
2 layers of filling – fresh banana w/custard and fresh strawberry
Top layer of fudge
Iced in whipped cream

I would eat any cake, but I think my favorite has been one made for a baby shower. Chocolate cake with Italian cream frosting and strawberry filling. Even the baker remarked that it looked really good as he made it.

Thus is hard to explain, but it was my mother's homemade "wacky," cake. No one but her knew what was put in it, but everyone loved it. It had chocolate in it and that is all I needed to know. Rumor has it that my daughter talked her into giving her the recipe. I am going to check with her to make her name me one. It will bring back many memories.
