Already living my dream of being married to who I am married to and the two beautiful daughters that I have and the job(s) I have. My life is cakes and pie served up with biscuits and country gravy.

My dream has never been linked to money...I guess few of us in uniform would be making smart choices if we were focused on money...but my current dreams are being answered by what a lovely person my daughter is growing into.

PO1 Private RallyPoint Member A certain amount of money is needed, but the main criteria should be doing something that makes you anxious to go to work each morning. For me, I wanted a job that I loved, and would be making worthwhile contributions to something bigger than myself.

Personal dream is to someday operate a movie theater. Not sure if I would do a large chain theater or a small niche theater, but I've always loved the movie theater experience so being able to share my love of movies with the world would be my dream.

I used to teach undergraduate business management. Every term and every class I asked my students why they work? Bottomline answer is to support themselves and their families lifestyles. Next came the question: What do you love to do and can you support yourself and your family's lifestyle doing it? If the answer is No then you have to get a job to produce the revenue to do what love. So many eyes lit up when I explained this little reality.

Idealism lasts for about six months, then reality comes along ad you take whatever you are offered. Money and job satisfaction come if you work at whatever job you have.
