I wouldn't mind Monterrey, CA. Germany would be nice if not for the size of the move.

Honestly? I have to tell you every time I came up for new orders I asked to be the guy at the base gym handing out towels and basketballs. Just once in my career, even for just 6 months. I wanted to be "that guy"....... But NOOOOOO, there was always some "hot job", "important program", "major development" or "ship with a critical need" that just happened to have an opening / missing body that I just happened to be the perfect skills, knowledge, experience and sometimes even the right NEC (read: MOS for you non-Navy types). Not ONCE, in 23 years did I get the assignment I wanted or asked for. You could say I batted 1000..... sorta.

Either return to Fort Carson, or enjoy tours in Florida or Washington state. One can only hope..
