Let's say I own a piece of commercial property and someone wants to lease the property out and they plan on running a Marijuana business.. Should I deny a potential customer since I still fall under UCMJ or accept the monthly income.

Thank you What is your advice for a soldier who owns a commercial property, but has a tenant who wants to open a legal marijuana shop? 2016-04-03T21:57:48-04:00 SPC(P) Private RallyPoint Member 1426528

This is a hypothetical question and wanting to know the legalities since I will be in this business (real estate) this year. Sure it is in a state where that item is legal but I don't think it's worth the risk. It wouldn't look good in court for anything in the future that may affect you if it was brought up that you let someone lease your property for marijuana sales.

Talk to your local legal office but I would say it's ill-advised. Now, if you are a PARTNER in this business, well that could land you in trouble with UCMJ.
