I'm a huge fan of Magnificent Seven, but I also liked Seven Samurai (and later Bug's Life... think about it).

Jeremiah Johnson isn't a contender since it was more of a mountain man genre all by itself. I love Unforgiven and Pale Rider. "There's nothing like a good piece of hickory." But the Outlaw Josey Wales is welcome on at my house 24/7. "Lucky you came along,...I could have killed her."

Mine might not be the most popoular one ever made, but "Outlaw Josey Wales", along with "Silverado", "Shane" and "True Grit" (remake).

My theory on the decline of the Western would take a while, so I'll refrain from posting it.

The Magnificent Seven. It starts with that music, it has all those amazing men, the storyline is everything you would want in a Western, and that music, divine, horses, women, men, and that music.

I got to go with Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer in Tombstone as my No#1 but I liked all of John Wayne's, and Clint Eastwood's too. Also young guns one and two were good.
