What is the MOS 00F in the army national guard?

Possibly being deployed overseas as this MOS. Was wondering what it meant. I read online and saw 00F was a drill sergeant, so I know that’s not right. Maybe I misheard my NCO. But the word fox trot was definitely in there. Sorry guys I’m a private, so I don’t know much. But I’m eager to learn

00F MOS Immaterial

Sounds like you are going to deploy on a Deployment Manning Document (DMD) as opposed to deploying as just organic units. 00F is just an identifier for MOS Immaterial for the position. It just means that any MOS with the required grade can fill it.

If you saw a 00F as a Drill SGT online, that was because many Drill SGT positions in the Guard and Reserve are MOS immaterial, it just also requires Drill SGT School.

Like SGM McCloud and 1SG said, its immaterial, meaning any MOS could fill it. Its a good question, don't blame your rank. In the military we all learn something new from each other everyday. Good luck on your deployment!

That is an MOS Immaterial designation. The specialty of the Soldier is not relevant to the mission.
