I am about to leave TDY for NCOES class (ALC). I know that the qmp doesn't apply because it happened as an E5 and I'm an E6 now and according to their guidance and faq's I read, I should be considered as having overcame this for qmp purposes. Worst case scenario though, because I've heard horror stories of DA just trying to qmp and separate people anyway, what would happen in this situation? Would they pull me from tdy? <br /><br />Am I just overreacting about this? <br /><br />Thanks for readingWhat is the likelihood that HRC would QMP a person for a past occurrence?2020-07-31T09:08:23-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member6160759<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have some paperwork in my file from when I was an E5 such as a GOMOR but I have been promoted since the incident. It didn't happen while in your current grade. The Gomar will stay in your ompf until you want to get it moved to restricted fiche which I do recommend.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 31 at 2020 9:42 AM2020-07-31T09:42:51-04:002020-07-31T09:42:51-04:00SFC Robert Walton6160898<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Things have changed so but never heard a QMP being activated from and old GOMAR. At your rank i would apply to get it moved to your restricted Fiche. You should be fine. Look into he process of removing it from you open records. While it may not QMP you, it will be a - when it comes to future promotions.Response by CSM Darieus ZaGara made Jul 31 at 2020 11:36 AM2020-07-31T11:36:26-04:002020-07-31T11:36:26-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member6161462<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You should good be good. Remember ever horror story you hear is from the view point of the person, not that actual situation. Unfortunately people tell half truths to get others to validate their point of view versus the right occurrences. Good luck to you...Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 31 at 2020 1:15 PM2020-07-31T13:15:12-04:002020-07-31T13:15:12-04:00SFC Kelly Fuerhoff6161599<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Did you get anything that says you're coming under QMP? If not, don't worry about it. <br /><br />If you do, you can rebut it. I came up on QMP in about October 2017 after my daughter's kidney transplant. Actually - the memo was dated before my reenlistment in August but I was at a joint unit and Ft Riley didn't get it to my leadership until November 2017. I came up because I didn't get SLC done in 3 years after I got promoted to SFC. I had to defer it due to my daughter's issues. So I submitted a rebuttal with doctor's memos, letters from leadership, etc. They let me stay in. I did SLC Jan 2018.Response by SFC Kelly Fuerhoff made Jul 31 at 2020 2:01 PM2020-07-31T14:01:20-04:002020-07-31T14:01:20-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member6161615<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The horror stories you've heard are just stories. QMP is only applied when the event happened in your current grade. Back in 2013 when QMP was first reinstated and we were drawing down, HRC went through all the old records to look for people to QMP and there was a huge purge of below quality NCOs. Now, when something negative is added to your record it automatically triggers a QMP which are conducted several times a year.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 31 at 2020 2:06 PM2020-07-31T14:06:40-04:002020-07-31T14:06:40-04:00SGM Erik Marquez6162274<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>QMP guidance is written per QMP review period.
