What is the item that you would never upgrade to Electronic or high tech ??

I would have to say my camp percolator. Just for the simple fact that electronics are prone to failure. Just got tired of having to buy a drip coffee maker every 6 months to a year. Penny for your thoughts ?

Good choice, I was going to say compass but coffee if far more important! Like last weekend at Lake Murray SC got very cold camping but coffee got me through.

It has to be fire. There's nothing quite so frustrating as waking up on a frosty morning and finding your butane is too cold to work, your propane is done, and your fancy heater packs were punctured and won't work now. Gimme a couple of dry sticks and a little fatwood and I'll give you hot coffee.
