CPT Private RallyPoint Member 4063048

EDIT: PROMOTED TO 1LT EFFECTIVE 03 JAN 19! THANK YOU FOR FOLLOWING THIS POST.

Does anyone know of the current status on scroll L04-18? I commissioned back in Aug-2016, graduated BOLC on Jan-2018, and received my state orders for promotion on Feb-2018. My BN submitted my promotion packet in 16-Jul-2018 (due to an expired PHA); otherwise, I have been free of any administrative issues to date.

However, as of Oct-2018, my federal recognition packet status on G1 personnel gateway still reads the following:

"Scroll created with packets and List_ID; L04-18; 0 Days in DoD Approval cycle."

I have three questions in regards to this situation:
1. Roughly how long would it take for the approval process to begin?
2. I understand that backpay is allotted for delayed O-1 to O-2 promotions after meeting the TIG requirement of 18 months. Is the backpay automatic? If not, who is my POC and how could I secure an accurate backpay?
3. Do O-1 to O-2 promotions normally take this long, albeit a clean record?

Thanks in advance. What is the general timeframe for officer promotions (O1-O2) in ARNG (scroll L04-18)? 2018-10-21T13:14:17-04:00 CPT Private RallyPoint Member 4063048

EDIT: PROMOTED TO 1LT EFFECTIVE 03 JAN 19! Back pay is not automatic- your unit needs to submit a request (DA 119 I think) to fix it. Your POC is your training or readiness NCO. Back date of rank is automatic.
As for the scroll information, sometimes the portal is wrong. You can reach out to your BN and have them check with your OPM to ensure your paperwork is good, but it would probably say awaiting document upload if it were missing something. After that, you basically just wait... I received my state orders in November of 16, the scroll started counting in January of 17. I had something like 28 months in grade as a 2LT before I finally pinned. My orders came through just under a year past my state date-of-rank.

In regards to pay; get with your readiness NCO. They will be your contact for everything pay-related. You may or may not get a notification saying you have new promotion orders (I only found out about my promotion by randomly checking iPERMS one day) and you can then decide whether or not to have a promotion ceremony.
