What I wasn&#39;t prepared for was the huge difference between the cultures. We&#39;re all pretty familiar with military culture, but the laid back, unless it affects me I don&#39;t care, attitude in the scientific and education communities I entered threw me for a loop. Sometimes we have cheese too!<br />Culture is not about the people in my office, it&#39;s more about our clients. And that has a lot of negativity, just due to the nature of my work. But we find ways to laugh about it.
