Hell I live in the burbs of DFW and haven't seen anyone carrying openly, yet. Lee James, III made Jan 22 at 2016 8:44 AM2016-01-22T08:44:23-05:002016-01-22T08:44:23-05:00SFC Daniel Faires1252293<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Did you really expect a crime increase ? <br />Statistics show that people that are legally able to carry a firearm are less likely to commit a crime.<br /><br />Washington state allows open carry in most counties without a permit <br />Still required to have a permit of you conceal carry and to get a permit in Washington state all you have to do is walk in pay the fee , get fingerprinted , they run a background check and if you are clean you get a permit <br /><br />Texas you are required to attend a class , qualify with your weapon , do fingerprints , send everything in and then wait <br /><br />I have had a concealed handgun license for over 15 years and when I moved to Texas I did everything in December and I am still waiting for the permit which is required to open carry or conceal carry , it's called a LTC (license to carry )<br /><br />The laws regarding weapons in Texas are a lot more restrictive than you would believe <br /><br />If you want to know more look up the Texas penal code 30.06 and 30.07 <br /><br />Good info for people to knowResponse by SFC Daniel Faires made Jan 22 at 2016 10:59 AM2016-01-22T10:59:07-05:002016-01-22T10:59:07-05:002016-01-21T19:29:09-05:00
