What is the best way to escalate a disability application?

It has been 8 months since submitting my disability application. It was supposed to have been no more than 90 days for a response. Other than my local VA office, to whom can I escalate this matter?

You could file a congressional which might or might not speed things along. Was this an initial claim or asking for an increase or filing an appeal? If it’s an initial claim I would contact your local regional office of the VBA and ask them what is going on.

Depending on the va back log it can take up to a year. Contact your regional office, to find out your status.
