I have two years left to serve actively and then I may be able to transfer into the Inactive Reserves (IR). Any advice would be much appreciated!!Response by SPC(P) Alexandra Hinds made Mar 8 at 2016 9:53 PM2016-03-08T21:53:20-05:002016-03-08T21:53:20-05:00SSgt Private RallyPoint Member1365509<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Log into AKO. On the right hand side part way down the page is a link for the Army Career Tracker, or ACT. Select it, and on the ACT 2.0 page, left hand side under "plan" is "duty position search." You can search duty positions by component, location, etc. It will not show you open slots, but it will show units, and how many of each position they are MTOEd. If you find something that interests you, get in contact with your battalion carreer counselor, and see if he can help organize such a move. Of course your commander will have to sign off on it, but most will, as long as you aren't flagged.Response by SSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 8 at 2016 10:41 PM2016-03-08T22:41:40-05:002016-03-08T22:41:40-05:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member1366295<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Find your Retention NCO and ask that. They should be able to find that out for you. Or, you can talk to your S1 shop. They may be able to find that.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 9 at 2016 9:55 AM2016-03-09T09:55:16-05:002016-03-09T09:55:16-05:00MAJ Ken Landgren1367018<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Google units and give them a call.Response by MAJ Ken Landgren made Mar 9 at 2016 1:21 PM2016-03-09T13:21:48-05:002016-03-09T13:21:48-05:002016-03-08T21:40:15-05:00
