Junior College and ask them if they have any books on Law Enforcement Exams. If you are applying for a Civil Service Department then you will need to study the Civil Service Exam for Police Officers. <br />But, as a 33 year veteran of Law Enforcement and a licensed and certified instructor. The test consist of the following;<br /> Reading Comprehension, Grammar, Vocabulary, Memory, Math and Incident Report.<br /><br />Even though the test are on the average four hours long average about 200 - 250 questions, its nothing to panic over. <br />Get a good nights sleep, eat lite I the morning, block out everybody else who is there except the examiner. No distraction like cell phones, alarm watches, whatever.<br /><br />Remember the first response is usually the right choice. Don&#39;t second guess yourself.<br />Read and follow all instructions. REPEAT: read and follow all instructions. If you can&#39;t follow instruction then the examiners will think that you are no capable of following orders. The test is believe it or not set on a fifth grade level.<br />So, again don&#39;t stress and don&#39;t over think the questions. Do not read anything into the questions. Just read it and remember things like what was said, what you observed, what you observed, what happened.
