Maybe taking a look at the regulation will help:

http://www.apd.army.mil/pdffiles/r140_30.pdf CW5 Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 06 Nov 2014 18:07:40 -0500 2014-11-06T18:07:40-05:00 Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 6 at 2014 6:50 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-is-the-agrmis-report-how-do-i-get-a-copy?n=314445&urlhash=314445

SGT Private RallyPoint Member, that report is held at your HRO office, JFHQ. It is not something that is not widely distributed to the best of my knowledge. What this shows are the current AGR positions for you state, changes to paragraph/line duty positions and future AGR positions. The number of authorizations AGR positions allowed in your state is determined by total personnel in the Army and Air Guard. Remember you have Air Guard AGR positions as well.

Your AGR office publishes a list of candidates globally when they are eligible to apply to another position, they do this by a canvas of those eligible. Remember too that if you get notification for a canvas, it may not be the MOS you are currently in. There's an old saying, "needs of the Army, needs of the AGR program". Usually the HRO office falls under the G-1, then you the G-3 who have may oversight on force integration, some other players and of course your TAG.

I can tell you in the 10 years I spent in the G-1, I've seen that document 3 times because it related to the work I was doing. Good luck! I feel that knowing the available positions may help us make better assignment decision in our career. I was given orders for Fort Totten, NY for 3 full years from 09/2016-09-2019. After I reported here in Sept 2016, I was told by the Battalion S3 to move to Fort Devens, MA because my position is soon going to be excess. I behaved adamant and told them the reasons for which I could not PCS there. This is my first AGR assignment and I thought I would get full 3 years at this location. If I move to Ft Devens my family income will drop to a great extent, due to lesser BAH plus my wife will have to quit her job in this area.

Can I be forced to move to Devens? I have put my civilian job on hold, and volunteered for AGR tour. What do I do? What are my options? Can I have the HRC cancel my AGR contract? Note: The HRC is not making me do this, this is the unit level thing. Basically there was a miscommunication between the Battalion and the HRC, HRC cut my orders and may be they did not know that the company I was assigned to as a 35G E5, moved to Fort Devens. Please advise. Thanks. SFC Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 18 Apr 2017 10:37:04 -0400 2017-04-18T10:37:04-04:00 2014-11-06T15:46:26-05:00
