No I wouldn't but you cannot live every day of your life like it is the last day of your life. You would never plan for the long term, you wouldn't want to go to work and do the things that need to be done. You wouldn't save for your kids education or retirement of the first home or dream home etc. etc. etc.

The quote seems to imply you can simply do what you want to do rather than what you need to do. Most of us don't work a job that is our sole passion in life as a matter of fact, very few do. This is the pop psychobabble that leads many astray and to shirk responsibility and to do longer term thinking.

Be the change that you want in the world. Don't wait for the world to change for you, it has to start with you. It's also never to late to make a change in your own life.

I did the college thing, I worked in different jobs but I wasn't getting the satisfaction I wanted from life. Stepped on the yellow footprints and became a Marine when I was 28 years old. Gave me a different perspective on life. Now I've got a job I love, a wife, kids, even a dog. Living the American Dream and all I had to do was find the courage to make a change in my own life.

I have learned to trust the process. Things will play out the way they are meant to whether you spend the entire time worrying about it or not!. My leaders supported me, they are true leaders, not just bosses or managers and I appreciate their mentorship and support during the past few weeks. I will pass this on to my troops when the time comes if it should.
If today was the last day of my life I would want to spend it loving my family and telling them how important they are to me.
