I’m currently in AIT, and I’m supposed to go to DLI afterwards. I was wondering how life is at DLI? I understand it’s difficult. How much free time will I have? Will I have enough time to go to the gym everyday? Also, how restrictive is it when compared to AIT?

Not restrictive at all in the same sense. More restrictive in the sense that you’ll be in class or studying. A lot.
But other than that, it’s actually pretty chill. Pass the PT test, don’t get arrested in town, generally stay out of trouble, and pass your classes.
Indeed, it’s difficult. Very, very difficult. Regardless, you will be hard pressed to find a better place in the Army to spend 18 months or so. Good luck.
