What is it like to be an AGR Recruiter?

I am currently a TPU 92A. However, I was offered an opportunity to join the AGR program as an AGR recruiter. So I have a few questions. What is the difference between an AGR recruiter and an Active component recruiter? How is the recruiter course? What are the work hours usually like?

AGR members receive the same benefits and entitlements as their active-duty counterparts including pay, leave and medical. Additionally, each year a member is on AGR orders is 365 points towards Reserve retirement.

For a reservist that additional 365 points a year will be a huge boost at the end for retirement.

I did 2 tours as an AGR Recruiter in 2 different decades and 2 different parts of the country. The hours are going to vary and it's going to suck and be very rewarding at the same time. There will be 4 hour days and there will be 20 hour days. It will be what you make it and you will have a much easier time making E7. You will work weekends and evenings and be at HS Football, Basketball and Baseball games. Do well and you can be flexible with your schedule. I'd do it again I suppose.

The bigger picture is you are in the AGR system should you want to make a career of it.

Agr is the same as active, the school is the same, depending where your going, you could have long hours or short hours, it all depends on the part of the country and how you do as a recruiter. In Seattle I worked 9 to 2100 five to six days a week, then transferred to Atlanta Bn. And worked 9 to 1700 5 days a week. Depending on appointments and testing and meps of course
