Now I am married and my military spouse is my husband. Does anyone know about what its like to live on base in housing? Will he be treated same as a female spouse when it comes to living on base and FRG, etc? Having lived in the &quot;old&quot; Army, I feel somewhat nervous as I don&#39;t know what active duty is like after DADT and 17 years later ? What is it like living in housing post-DADT? Will my spouse be treated the same as a female spouse when it comes to living on base, FRG, etc? 2019-04-03T23:54:48-04:00 SPC(P) Private RallyPoint Member 4512152 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Going Reserve to Active. You&#39;re not the first gay couple anyone has seen. As long as you&#39;re a decent neighbor, no one will really care. No trash, safety, and proximity to work was appealing. There a lot of old bastards here on RP that talk a lot of nonsense, but it&#39;s been my general experience that most military people and families are pretty tolerant and accepting folks. If you ever do have a problem be sure to address it though. Response by MSgt Michael Smith made Apr 9 at 2019 12:51 PM 2019-04-09T12:51:31-04:00 2019-04-09T12:51:31-04:00 2019-04-03T23:54:48-04:00
