What is a day at MEPS Like? I don't have to do any of the medical part just the interview and swear in https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-is-a-day-at-meps-like-i-don-t-have-to-do-any-of-the-medical-part-just-the-interview-and-swear-in <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am prior service. I&#39;m currently in the National guard going to MEPS next week to do the interview and swear in. I don&#39;t have to do anything in the physical or medical part. What does the interview and swearing in consist of? Is this a long day at MEPS? I do not remember since its been 7 years since I went to MEPS. Then they will have you sign some paperwork with your fingerprint. Swearing in is just alittle ceremony with you and most likely 5-10 others in which you swear into active or reserve duty. Which takes like 10 minutes but you will wait 3 hours for, then the officer that swore you in will give some words of wisdom and encouragement then you can go home or ship to bct if you are a recruit. I was out for 5.5 yrs and I had to do ALL of the steps at MEPS when I was getting back in. And, you may have to wait until the end of the day before you do your swearing in. My experience with MEPS is that they wait until the end of the day to finish the processing of prior service.
