Not necessarily MAJ Ken Landgren. VA disability rating is based on potential disabilities. I know of one man who has a 130% disability rating and he is still working because his disabilities do not preclude his line of work.
In my case I have been rated so far at only 80% disability but because of medications and their effects I am unable to safely drive long distances and because of other disabilities not able to negotiate stairs very easily or safely.

MAJ Ken Landgren I was hoping that most of the responses to your question would be posted separately instead under my answer. It sure gets hard to follow trains of thought when there are so many comments :-)

I suppose if you made it an issue. Even though I had a 10% disability, I was never asked about it. It would seem if you were otherwise qualified and they actually said that was a reason, there is a fair chance there could be a ADA claim made. Short answer is no it would not, at least on the surface. But, there isn't age discrimination either. (roll eyes)

No it doesn't. I have met a few that had 100% and still worked. I on the other hand am not that lucky.
