what if you beat it

What if you beat the qmp.. how would you feel after going through all of this? Would you feel the same the same about the army? would you still feel betrayed?

I don't know how I'd feel. I feel kinda stabbed in the back now what's stopping them from coming back next year saying they have to make more cuts?

No more then all those SSGs that got looked over for SFC. The direction that the Army is heading, I'm afraid is like 1997 after the gulf war and from what I've heard of OIF 1 I don't want be a part of the next initial invasion for whatever country we decide to "liberate" next.

I'm guessing the reason most are being looked at for QMP will keep them from promotion and I'm assuming we will be set up for QSP next year.
I'm done.
I've deployed and re enlisted since my GOMAR and all 1/1 ncoers so in this case the army isn't fulfilling their end of the contract.
Not the army I signed up for nor want to be in.
I'm sure most stories are similar.

If I managed to be retained I'd take a lesson from all this and keep it in my kit bag. Preach it to my soldiers that nothing now a days is guaranteed and just continue forward. I can't act like I'm a victim of circumstance obviously I have been considered for a reason the details don't even matter. The Army is still a stellar organization that I'm proud to be (or been depending on this board) a part of. Betrayed, never.

It's not about being betrayed. The fact that you will be working for an organization that doesn't want you, and has identified you as sub par. All this downsizing is going to come around and hit the Army hard. All these experienced NCO's are going to be gone and limited experience will be left. We are going to have to go back to Iraq, maybe not now but it will happen again like 03'. When it does the Army will do the same thing, lower the standards let dirtbags in for numbers and when all is said and done, clean house, oh I mean, "downsize". It is a shame what the Army is doing to these NCO's. Most of which have probably spent half their careers deployed.

I have honestly asked myself this question a lot since being notified about consideration. I have tried not to have a bitter taste in my mouth about the whole thing, but how do you bounce back? We all have something that got us looked at here, but we have all paid our dues on it. That is what I was always taught in the Army, mess up, own it, take your licks, and move on. But now I am having to rehash what I already thought was done and over with. Not the same Army I was proud to be in.
