Nostalgic laughs and trips down memory lane. It's nice to talk wih other people who have a similar background and get the jokes.

Downvotes. When I log on and see I got a Downvote, it's like finding the rare red ruby in a sea of green Emeralds. But at the same time they make me sad, as I browse the pages of the RP Influence Points Gift Catalog, and see my dream item pushed further into the future. It makes me want to rush in and post a bunch of "great job!" to get my points back. :)

Reading people's perspectives on things and learning something new. We're a pretty darn smart bunch of people. The Powers That Be could learn a few things from us.

I relish the Opportunity to visit with my Fellow Veterans. People that share a Common Language and Life Experiences. I did 21 years that makes me a "Lifer" which means the Navy is in my Blood. I am the Proverbial "Old Salt" they are talking about and just like before I retired they referred to me as "Senior Spook on the Pier" (Most Experienced Naval Intelligence Person onboard several Ships Homeported in Bremerton) I think I still have something to contribute.

Well, as a civilian the most rewarding thing from RallyPoint for me anyway. Is I get to indirectly meet the men and women; whom serve our nation. It allows me to learn, to grow, and to think how can I apply what I have learned to my life.

The conversations,even the down votes.Really I expect it.I guess you could call me an online activist for many causes.I won't quit my day job though.LOL.I do think Rally Point is a good tool to help our Soldiers stay engaged around the world,wether your Active Duty or a Veteran.The Internet has opened a door to another way of communication and monitoring that even Veterans can help with.Thank You SPC Higgins for the shout out.
