Hello PFC M.,

I have been out over 20 years and I have used several skills I learned in the military. Professionalism in the face of adversity.

Learning the regulation or at least learning how to find the regulations that applied to me and working within them.

I learned what to dos and what not to dos from NCOs and Officers that i worked for and have integrated the what to dos when I became a supervisor. The AR 670-1 stays with you. Neat groomed appearance and looking sharp in my uniform has been a plus.

Finally, there is no greater brotherhood than those brothers and sisters in whose hands you have laid your very life. I still keep in contact with people I served with.

I have also found a few along the years that served in the exact same place I did and we probably walked past each other but never actually met. For example I met a guy when I moved back to Alaska that had been in the 13th Sig, 1st Cav when I was 27th MSB, 1st Cav. We knew some of the same people.

Its a thread that will follow you the rest of your life if you want it to.

I have self-discipline and perseverance.
I value excellence; honor, respect and dignity.
I was a soldier in the 165th Signal Company.
I can communicate with just about anyone.
I was also a Sports Director. I volunteered for Special Olympics; and the kids played a version of baseball.
