I am also not sure that Carson would take the bait, and I don't think that Trump is either. To attack Carson without assurance of a counter-attack could have the effect of making Trump look like the "bad guy" sniping at Carson without cause.

Also this is VERY early in the whole process. He has found the issue that is motivating GOP voters in 2015. Meanwhile the GOP is running scared. They think they can attract Hispanic voters by "reaching out". Regardless of anything a GOP candidate says or does, 80% of Hispanic voters are going to vote Democrat. Same is true with black Americans, 90% in their case. The GOP won't attract them either. But the GOP has never in my lifetime evinced any propensity for acknowledging reality. They will fear and fight anyone who speaks like Trump just as they will fear and fight conservatives. Ultimately, the GOP is merely a foil for the Democrats and destined to be a 2nd class party forever...Response by CPT Jack Durish made Sep 4 at 2015 1:45 PM2015-09-04T13:45:29-04:002015-09-04T13:45:29-04:002015-09-02T23:25:40-04:00
