But that was years ago. So...it's either the same way now or you get sent to your Company and get PT'd to the point where you will have no problems passing the 1-1-1. Best Course of Action.....work your butt off in order to PASS the 1-1-1 before you get there.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 25 at 2019 5:08 PM2019-09-25T17:08:26-04:002019-09-25T17:08:26-04:00SFC Casey O'Mally5059845<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You stay at reception until you can pass it, THEN you start basic.<br /><br />Don't sweat it too much. If you are faor shape, you'll be up to snuff very quickly. I ran mine with my recruiter and failed but dropped maybe 7 minutes to a cool 15 flat. But we didn't have anything to do at reception for this when I left in 2005. So I wouldn't worry, you'll kill it in a couple weeks. Buuuut I'm going to browse the comments a bit more to see how wrong I may be on this topic....Response by SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 25 at 2019 7:33 PM2019-09-25T19:33:21-04:002019-09-25T19:33:21-04:001SG Private RallyPoint Member5060335<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The 1-1-1 is only used to determine what ability group you are placed in during PRT in the morning...there is no failing the 1-1-1Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 25 at 2019 8:14 PM2019-09-25T20:14:43-04:002019-09-25T20:14:43-04:00SGM Private RallyPoint Member5060521<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The Fitness Training Unit in 30th AG is where you would end up for a few weeks until you can do the minimum push-ups, sit-ups and 1 mile run time to start BCT or OSUT.<br />They have their own facebook page:<br /><a target="_blank" href="https://www.facebook.com/FTU30THAG/">https://www.facebook.com/FTU30THAG/</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default">

You'll go to the WTRP unit at 30th AG until you're physically fit enough to continue. Unofficially? You go straight downrange to your basic training unit as scheduled and go through OSUT like everyone else. If you get injured or can't pass your final APFT, then you might go to WTRP anyways, but most likely you'll just be recycled into the next OSUT class that starts. Say hi to Miss Moody at the 30th DFAC for me, miss that sweet lady.Response by SPC Angela Burnham made Sep 26 at 2019 7:38 PM2019-09-26T19:38:55-04:002019-09-26T19:38:55-04:00PFC Ian Mease5064467<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Nothing much. Your 1-1-1 is basically a preliminary exam to determine your fitness standards prior to the physical training you'll receive. Your first PT test will be in roughly 2-3 weeks after you begin basic training.Response by PFC Ian Mease made Sep 26 at 2019 11:46 PM2019-09-26T23:46:59-04:002019-09-26T23:46:59-04:002019-09-25T16:52:54-04:00
