Some of that report seems to me to be conspiracy theory or sensationalized, but not all of it. I have heard about the threat of EMP and jamming (of course) all my life. If the Russians have weaponized EMP, that could be very bad news for us.<br /><br />On the other hand, if that had been a for-real encounter, I believe our guys on the ship would have blown the airplane out of the sky before it was able to do damage. I also work with an officer who was on the ship at that time who agrees a Russian jet buzzed them a few times, but did nothing more. In addition, there are so many factual inaccuracies in the article about the ship alone, it is probably no more than sensationalist tripe.
