What happened to the PT patch? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-happened-to-the-pt-patch <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I really don&#39;t see anyone wearing a PT patch on the PT uniforms anymore. I don&#39;t know if it&#39;s because commanders don&#39;t acknowledge it anymore or if it&#39;s because they don&#39;t acknoedge it as much in the reserves. I&#39;ve always thought the PT patch is a great motivation incentive to get soldiers to do well on their PT test or PT in general..... Are they authorized on the new PT uniform? Many unit&#39;s 1SGs do not follow up on it being awarded (or any other awards for that matter). It should be awarded (paperwork is not an excuse as it is a commander&#39;s memorandum); it should be used both as a motivation tool and for recognition. These are the Soldiers you want running your remedial PT program. These are the Soldiers that should be released early because they have achieved at a significantly higher level than is required (this is coming from someone that does not have the patch...short guy can&#39;t run fast, lol). <br />I suspect that most Soldiers that had it on the grey APFUs have not taken the time or spent the money to have it sewn on the new uniform. Although its&#39; wear is optional, I bet the Soldiers that balk at spending a few bucks to sew on the APFB would search the internet high and low to buy a foreign award if they were authorized to wear it. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Mon, 22 Feb 2016 17:35:06 -0500 2016-02-22T17:35:06-05:00 Response by Nawaf Alanizi made Feb 22 at 2016 5:37 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-happened-to-the-pt-patch?n=1322111&urlhash=1322111 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Sorry to say Sir o Bring into Ligh the Trends Changing Shifts Drive Strength &amp; Value Returned factual Realities of Life of True Cultural Required DESIREB GROWTH PROFITS RETURNS EXPECTATION PERCENTAGE OF FISCAL BUDGET TRESARIES &amp; Financial Derivatives Market Money Accounts Products and Services that Determine Availibilty Access flow and processes.&amp; National Laws Objectives Of Economic Social Distribution Saturation &amp; Volume Controls of Disposable Cash Availablites Within Systems Economy to Mostly curb wealthy Gains of Unacounted Cash Savings at HOME to Reduce Crimial Activities &amp; Assure the Implementation of Natioal Security Nawaf Alanizi Mon, 22 Feb 2016 17:37:11 -0500 2016-02-22T17:37:11-05:00 Response by CW4 Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 22 at 2016 6:06 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-happened-to-the-pt-patch?n=1322194&urlhash=1322194 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I got it once and it looked good on an EER. Prior to the formation I invited my BN CDR and BN CSM to be there for the presentation. They came and congratulated each Soldier on their accomplishment. As we went down the line for each award, I told each Soldier that I would get their patch sewn on for them. If you earn it, you should be recognized for it. It should be worn as well in my opinion. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 23 Feb 2016 06:21:33 -0500 2016-02-23T06:21:33-05:00 Response by LTC Charles T Dalbec made Feb 23 at 2016 8:53 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-happened-to-the-pt-patch?n=1323490&urlhash=1323490 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Recommend you review the APFT regulation Soldier. Our BN CDR or CSM also participates in the recognition and presents them a coin. However, seldom do we see the badge worn. If I&#39;m not mistaken the PT is AWARDED to to an individual for scoring 290 or above on APFT. So if something that is AWARDED to you for an accomplishment is perceived as &quot;showing off&quot; or &quot;bragging&quot;, what&#39;s so different about the AWARDS we wear on our dress uniforms, or the Airborne, Air Assault, etc badges some soldiers wear on their uniforms?
