Depending on Rank, there are a few outlier positions at Fort Story, APHill AWG, Blacksburg, AC/RC, Norfolk in Joint Units, Drill SGT at Eustis/Lee and some ROTC instructor position...but if you want A real AD unit-Old Guard is about it

IMHO, if you're not getting a Special Duty Assignment it will be extremely difficult to obtain an assignment in the VA area considering its Logistical and high ranking echelon managers.

As SFC stated. Old Guard might be your best bet.

The only infantry unit in Virginia is The Old Guard in Fort Myer, and you can't reenlist for that. You'll have to meet all the prerequisites of TOG and contact your branch manager for an acceptance letter.

Actually NONE. the only 11 unit is the Old Guard, and they are picky on selecting folks. No re-enlist into them.

None. Everything infantry in VA is Old Guard and you are chosen after an application process. You cannot re-enlist to them.

I have a serious problem here guys. I graduated BLC 25 OCtober2019 and went to the promotion board on 20December2019 but my PPW is saying Recommend E5 step NCOES Requires. My 1059 is on both my SRB and IPERMS. How often these mistakes happens?
