Well a robotic sub has shown that sea thickness in the Antarctic is increasing. This according to New Science Magazine in it's Nov. 24th, 2014 article.

The change suggests that this ice is an all-time record and really a surprise to the scientists involved. The yearly increase is estimated at 19,000 to 20,000 sq miles of accretion.

The questions are why and what is causing this increase? Global temperatures? Perhaps, because the nature of the ice seems to indicate ice bunching up and refreezing. More to come. Oh and the ice is much thicker and sampling way up as well using 3-D techniques. What does it mean now that the South Polar Ice Field is going and thickening?2014-11-26T14:37:32-05:00SSgt Private RallyPoint Member343446

Could it be most of them were sincere in trying to save us? Be fair, it's not like they had ZERO scientific backing.

I tell ya what, if I knew an asteroid was going to destroy half the world, I don't think I'd warn anyone because Lord knows if I got it wrong, despite my sincerity, I'd be crucified by the millions of google scientists on this planet.Response by SSG V. I believe this is evident by two obvious things; first during this recent warming period we discovered villages (presumably Viking) previously covered in ice and snow in Greenland; secondly, look at the fashion trends threw the centuries. Some periods people wore thick heavy cloths and robes, in other periods people wore light fabrics exposing more of themselves.

Could man destroy the earth? Yes, I think we have the capability to create harm to our environment faster than it can repair itself. But even areas of massive destruction such as Hiroshima and Chernobyl the ecosystem has either returned or is returning and is safe for humans to enter. This has happened fairly quickly compared to the life of this old rock.

Will humans destroy this world? If my children taught me anything when they were young it is that we just cant have nice things. We have become a disposable society; how many TV and small appliance repair shops do you have in your town? We have designed a society where it is almost cheaper to trash the old and buy a new whatever it was. It is almost cheaper to buy a printer than it is to get ink for the darn things. I for one miss the days of going to Great Granny's house and helping my Dad change the blown bulb fuse in her console TV.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 27 at 2014 8:39 AM2014-11-27T08:39:36-05:002014-11-27T08:39:36-05:00PO1 Walter Duncan344375

On the Northern Pole , if they would stop using the ice breakers they might find the ice sheets will not recede as much every year. But, every year the Russians and Canadians break up the ice. They need to stop and the ice will not recede as much and year after year it will increase. The only reason they call for the Global stuff is to tax Carbon emissions. But, it is for the larger free countries. China is not, Russia is not. Only the Democratic countries are really abiding by any emission control as a way to tax and control carbon emissions which are OOC in other countries that ignore emission standards, look at China, WOW! It is all about taxing for countries and the UN. The data they have is corrupted, some may be valid but some is corrupted. If any corrupted data were brought for a research program the research would be immediately thrown out and invalidated, but not true with Climate Change. Come to Arkansas the Climate Changes here every day. Check the history of the planet, how many ice ages has it been though? Thought so.Response by PO1 Walter Duncan made Nov 27 at 2014 10:28 AM2014-11-27T10:28:32-05:002014-11-27T10:28:32-05:002014-11-26T14:37:32-05:00
