No emphasis on any one over another, focus on the primary beliefs, differences, etc. If you send your kids to a private school, which is also religious, it is that school's prerogative to focus on their religion.Response by Maj Kevin "Mac" McLaughlin made Mar 31 at 2017 7:23 PM2017-03-31T19:23:56-04:002017-03-31T19:23:56-04:00SFC George Smith2463286<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Point Blank... <br />If they will not allow Prayer, and Christianity In schools get the islamic Crap out...Response by SFC George Smith made Mar 31 at 2017 7:28 PM2017-03-31T19:28:06-04:002017-03-31T19:28:06-04:001SG(P) Private RallyPoint Member2463290<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Proselytizing? Islam is directly opposite of Western culture, ideals, beliefs, and rights. The core beliefs of Islam tell them to kill all infidels. It also says to lie, betray, deceive them; which includes false peace.Response by SPC Brian Mason made Mar 31 at 2017 8:15 PM2017-03-31T20:15:15-04:002017-03-31T20:15:15-04:00CPT Jack Durish2463474<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I studied "Living Religions" including Islam in college. It was an academic overview of religion much like the study of philosophy. I see nothing wrong in that. However, the study materials and videos I've seen that have been produced by the US Dept of Education are as much an indoctrination as anything I've seen. They only serve to reinforce my view that the DOE needs to be shut down. One of islam's best strategies is keeping people confused and ignorant as to what islam really is. If they want to teach it then teach it for what it really. A political theory of conquest. Utter degradation of women and children and especially taqiyya. Teach our kids every horrible facet of Mohamedan belief. Warn them to guard against, to fight and to crush islam. But that's just me. :)Response by Kelli D Gordon made Mar 31 at 2017 10:22 PM2017-03-31T22:22:43-04:002017-03-31T22:22:43-04:00Cpl Private RallyPoint Member2463633<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If any religion is being banned/shunned from schools, all of them should be.Response by Cpl Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 31 at 2017 10:23 PM2017-03-31T22:23:08-04:002017-03-31T22:23:08-04:00SGT Rick Ash2463648<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I don't like it. If we are kicking and screaming about any form of Christianity in schools now why introduce another religion and think it ok. Under a religious study, I get introducing it as you would any other simply for understanding it but who would decide what context to teach? Would you only tell of the good? Would someone of that faith agree to what was being taught? I'm not one to say "yes" or "no" because in many aspects I am uneducated on most religions and could use some schooling myself. However, I stand by those that feel it should not be taught in public schools.Response by MSG Lance Kelly made Mar 31 at 2017 11:09 PM2017-03-31T23:09:30-04:002017-03-31T23:09:30-04:00CSM Eric Biggs2463853<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>What happened to NO religion in school?Response by CSM Eric Biggs made Apr 1 at 2017 2:28 AM2017-04-01T02:28:36-04:002017-04-01T02:28:36-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member2463876<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>That's a misleading question. They are not teaching the Islam faith, they are teaching about it. Huge difference. Our kids should know about other religions and cultures. Even if you hate Islam, you should want your kids to understand it. Whether your goal is to fight it or appreciate it, you should understand it.
